Memorial Day 2022 Open Letter
In his Farewell Address of September 1796, George Washington warned against foreign entanglements.
“Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.”
George S. Patton
Dear Congressman [____],
On May 30, 2022, I attended the Memorial Day ceremony at [_____] National Cemetery. I found your speech at the event respectful toward our fallen troops. The attendees applauded, but your words were hollow for various reasons. Let me explain why I stood in silence.
You compared George Washington’s Continental troops with Ukraine fighters. That is an objectionable comparison on many levels. This war has been going on since 2014, a pivotal year for Ukraine. That is when a color revolution sponsored by the US State Department, Central Intelligence Agency, and various aligned Non-Government Organizations occurred. Violent riots resulted in a coup d'état that forced the legitimately elected president out of office.
The United States and its globalist allies (The Machine) are not innocent bystanders helplessly watching. It is a big player in all of this, just like Putin the Wicked. The Machine uses Ukraine as a money-laundering mechanism. Post-USSR, it agreed not to advance NATO up to the Rissian borders. The opposite occurred. Additionally, in 2006 our current president, as the Vice President, interfered in the internal affairs of Ukraine. That was all about Hunter’s money.
We must learn from history. All the “wars” we participated in since World War II are unconstitutional. Few of these “police actions,” overt assistance activities, and covert meddling have provided positive results. The disastrous end to the Afghanistan war is one of many bad outcomes. It results from these extra-constitutional activities supported by Democrats and Republicans. It is no wonder why so much of the world despises the United States. We are a proxy for the Globalist Elites.
In his Farewell Address of September 1796, George Washington warned against foreign entanglements. Below is an excerpt from his address. It illustrates how Congress has strayed from the Constitution as related to foreign relations:
As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot. How many opportunities do they afford to tamper with domestic factions, to practice the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, to influence or awe the public council. Such an attachment of a small or weak towards a great and powerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the latter.
Because of our ceaseless and senseless “police actions,” the debasing of our currency is a bad outcome we all face. For example, 40 billion dollars of recent aid to Ukraine is another link in a long chain of unconstitutional bills funded by debt. The notion that prices are increasing “because of Putin” is a form of gaslighting. The creation of money (debt) out of thin air causes inflation—the Federal Reserve, acting on behalf of Congress, does this. The Biden Administration’s mounting green regulations and “environmental” executive orders cancel energy independence. That also badly influences pricing.
We all want a clean environment. However, the cult-like green behavior of the Democratic Party will cause our energy systems to crash. Meanwhile, you and your Republican colleagues cower and do nothing. Please take action to moderate the “climate change” cult that uses junk “science.” Congress must stop the bank-breaking money given to this cult before it is too late.
You and your Republican party members take turns with the Democrats and visit Ukraine. During these soirées, the leaders of that nation ask for more money. Because of this, the Russian oligarchy watches in joy as our currency debases, which leads to our demise. On the other hand, the Saudi Royal family, who have engaged in a genocidal campaign against Yemen, get zero news coverage. The reason: the Saudis are friendly and valuable to The Machine.
In a sad commentary, Congress is giving money (debt) to entangling alliances worldwide while ignoring pressing issues in the United States. For example, we have a nonexistent southern border where millions enter the country. Alongside potential terrorists, lethal drugs flow across the border.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is one of many examples of how the above malfeasance caused a disaster. The Kensington section of Philadelphia looks like a science fiction scene. People throughout that neighborhood hooked on illicit drugs loiter on the streets among the garbage and human waste. They are dying right before our eyes. Even so, you would rather spend 40 billion on Ukraine. Congress also must rethink the unconstitutional billions it sends to other nations. Some sources state that the Government is in debt by over 30 trillion dollars. The behavior of Congress and the Federal Reserve creates an astronomical amount of baseless money. It is akin to a drug addict who cannot get enough.
You used the word democracy multiple times to describe our nation. Once again, George Washington gives us clarity. These words from his inaugural address on March 15, 1783, address this issue:
Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.
Most people, like you, say we live in a democracy. The Constitution does not contain the word “democracy.” We are a republic, a mixed government. Our Constitutional Republic set up protection for people from government abuse. Nevertheless, the founders, by and large, feared overarching democracy and monarchies. Thus, we have laws allowed by the people through their elected representatives. There, the Constitution ensured even protection under the law for each person. Law and regulations should not differ for persons of various talents and abilities. While the struggle for liberty does involve the question of equality, the Founders sought fairness. They kept freedom as the law of the land. Today, Congress and the rest of the bureaucracy are nothing like the founders’ expectations.
In addition to your desire to sustain our active woke military (for the sadistic Globalist cause), we must support homeless veterans and work to stop suicides. Finally, please work to eliminate the Biden administration’s treasonist program to purge unwoke members from the military ranks.
Respectfully submitted,
Frederick R. Smith
