Excellent post. However, when I got to the part about the accident, it was a deja vu moment! When I was 20, I was hunting with a friend on his property. We had each built tree stands. His was in a tree on a steep hill. Shortly after it got light, he came walking toward my stand with a strange look on his face. He apparently got to the top step, it broke, and he fell backwards about 20 ft down the hill. The back of his head was bleeding. We jumped in my Bronco and sped to the hospital. Got pulled over for speeding and when I explained what happened got a 90MPH police escort in the pouring rain. He ended up with a concussion. What saved him evidently was he still had his rifle on his shoulder which plowed into the ground first, since the barrel tip was almost even with his head. His dad went to clean the rifle and found a chunk of wood lodged in the barrel.

God's answer is not always the answer we want. He is always right, and right on time. I cried and wailed for Him to bring back my murdered 16-year-old. It changed my life, into the Lioness He wanted it to become. Blessed is the Name of the Lord and His Son my Savior. It took time for me to accept that.

Great post here. No we are never ever alone. I have a daughter, now a grown psychologist and mother , who was born with a heart defect. The doctors refused to acknowledge and put down my concerns, It was so obvious. Finally I visited a back country kind soul doctor who identified the heart murmur & cause. She got pneumonia and nearly died. We got her to San Francisco with our then two week old son. She had the surgery and was up jumping on the bed within 24 hours. We never doubted her recovery . Our family has experienced other miraculous recoveries. The not doubting part and never losing faith part is a key. Learning to trust is our task.

It took 4 years of rehab to get my right dominant hand usable post-torn ligament thumb surgery with trigger lock release, the cast damaged the wrist nerves. I still have Neuropathy numbness and pain to deal with. I didn't have a great surgeon. Both the thumb and index finger are limited in motion, which impacts fine motor skills. Mallet's finger or Baseball finger the index is called. I'd not let one of Memphis's surgeons touch my degenerative spine.

Your brother was truly God-healed. We are told to lay hands on the sick and injured and pray. I'm the only one in my family who believes in it. Then again I still believe in Speaking in Tongues as they did on the day of Pentecost.
