Thank you for writing about this old and seemingly forgotten case. For reasons I have yet to figure out, I have been fascinated by "the boys on the track" story for years now. It's so much bigger and more involved then it seems, on the surface. I know several witnesses were subsequently "arkancided", some were clearly murdered and others in suspicious accidents, prior to their trial dates. I believe Danny Casolaro was looking into this, along with other suspicious deaths and " suicides" connected to this case, many of which made it onto the infamous "Clinton kill list". How terrible it must be for the parents of those boys to know, in their hearts, that their boys were murdered and our government had a hand in it. And there's absolutely nothing they could do about it. My God.

It's like the 3 eight-year-old campers in AR that Damien Echols and friends tortured to death. Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three. https://famous-trials.com/westmemphis.

It's as bad as parents who have had to go through 2 trials with DNA PROOF was present, the first trial was overturned and took 30 yrs, 2nd the trial is using the same appeals, with the Perp who raped and killed an 8-year-old small girl from a small town.

Or me fighting 6 parole hearings to eke out 8.5 yrs to keep my 16-year-old son's Sociopath who killed him for thrills killer in prison, he got a great Plea Deal M1 down to M2, and 10 months later the first of those 6 parole hearings. Robert James Bidinotto wrote for Reader's Digest back then, he also published his own additional stories in FREED TO KILL AGAIN. I've signed copies of the original articles in the attic.

Jesus. I'm so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine having no choice but to confront, not only the psychopaths, but the irreparably damaged justice system, on a daily basis. Even when it's over, it will never be over. God bless you and keep you strong. 🙏❤🙏

I’m having a hard time wrapping all that in my head. In the case of the Boys on the Tracks, I was only aware though my work that took me all over the nation my last 25 years (it is an incestuous business). This tugs at my heart by knowing you.

Nikki's mom is my BFF, she is turning 65. My youngest son and my Jeremy played with her boys. It boils down to several factors, 1 no one wants a prison near them. 2 costs. TN has 1 juvenile 150 bed, 2 women, 1 has a full-blown nursery, and 4 men's. 201 Poplar in Memphis has a Penal Farm, 11 months 29 days, 90% Recidivism rate. Anywhere depending on age 10-60 trips through, most in the winter or if they have a health need. 3 HIERARCHICAL COUNTING ONLY THE MOST SERIOUS CRIME IS COUNTED. KIDNAP, ROB, RAP, THEN KILL, ONLY THE MURDER IS CONSIDERED, THE REST IS FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET. Beloved Teacher Eliza Fletcher an heiress was running, this long rap sheet perp kidnapped her, and raped her only in the Homicide shows. He had a rap sheet since 10, he also raped another woman before Mrs. Fletcher. DNA was left on her shoe and in her body. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/crime/eliza-fletcher-memphis-kidnapping-cleotha-abston-b2160090.html

These are common and ignored. 'GOODY 2 SHOES' leftists think reform schools are a stigma. So they and soon Disease riddled illegals will share school rooms with your kids. At one time judges used the Military to straighten out hoodlums. No more it was cruel.

To top it off the state will pay for his relatives to go to the hearings, but not the Victim's mother. When the perp who killed my Jeremy turned 18, they put him in the 1 prison in E TN that is over 9 hrs away. I took 3 Lawmakers 1 Senator, and 2 Reps to one while still in Nashville, all you heard was VIP IN HOUSE ECHOING DOWN THE HALL. The head of the parole board was married to a State Rep, who has passed. Nepotism. I fight dirty.

An interesting and intriguing story. With your expertise in railroading adding greatly. Ahhh, Mena Airport. Bill and Hillary's old stomping grounds... There was a book made into a movie with Tom Cruise called "American Made" about the life of Barry Seals, https://nypost.com/2017/10/25/american-made-sheds-light-on-shady-arkansas-airfield-deals/

He was a CIA affiliated pilot who flew began to work for the Medellin drug cartel and made a fortune. He was burying money in his yard! Mena went from a one horse town to having international bank branches!
