Cosmopolitan Magazine is encouraging women to speak occultic prayers as they induce abortions at home. The magazine’s explicit instructions for “satanic ritual abortions” tell women to look in a mirror and focus on “your power in making this decision” while killing their unborn children. “Complete the ritual by reciting a personal affirmation: By my body, my blood; by my will, it is done.”

“There is a concerted effort from the abortion lobby and its allies in media to convince Americans that there is no such thing as late-term abortion,” writes Jeanne Mancini in an essay at The Hill. “But the truth is that 10,000 babies’ lives are lost every year to late-term abortions, the majority of which take place for elective reasons.”

And there is this exchange I had with a pro-abortion person:

Five pro-life activists were found guilty “for conspiracy against the right to reproductive health services” and for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act on 8/29/23. “This trial has been a sham with a biased pro-abortion judge who has made a mockery of our justice system,” tweeted Live Action President Lila Rose. “This decision will be appealed, & we demand it be overturned.” https://catholicvote.org/sham-and-biased-trial-conviction-5-pro-life-advocates/

The Biden campaign launched an advertisement on Friday targeting purple states by criticizing the GOP’s pro-life stance. The ad features pro-life statements by Republican presidential candidates, then promises: “President Biden and Vice President Harris are determined to restore Roe v. Wade, and they will never allow a national abortion ban to become law.”

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby called promoting abortion a “sacred obligation” of the government in a recent White House press conference. Kirby said he had met with female military service members and spouses and claimed the majority communicated to him that pro-life laws “are absolutely having an effect on their willingness to continue serving." He added: “That means we lose talent, important talent."

Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville has spent weeks head-to-head with the Biden Pentagon over its new policy allowing abortions at taxpayer expense in military facilities. Now, more than 3,000 veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. armed forces are standing behind Tuberville. “The undersigned stand united in condemning this policy,” they wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, and Senate Minority Leader Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY. https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/05/16/exclusive-3000-military-veterans-reject-pentagons-left-wing-social-agenda-support-tubervilles-senate-fight

At a May 16, 2023, morning House subcommittee hearing, witnesses and lawmakers spoke pointedly about the Justice Department’s and FBI’s recent pattern of prosecuting peaceful pro-life protests while turning a blind eye to violence against Catholic churches and pro-life clinics. Catholic pro-life advocate Mark Houck was among the witnesses who testified at the hearing. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH, suggested Congress ought to withhold funding from the FBI until American taxpayers see reform. https://catholicvote.org/witnesses-lawmakers-confront-federal-law-enforcement-targeting/

JMJ Pregnancy Center, a Catholic pro-life clinic in Orlando, Florida, has been attacked in what its director calls a “ritualistic” act. A vandal left a mutilated lamb and other animal bodies in front of the organization’s building. The clinic director says he has contacted a priest to ask for an exorcism of the property. https://catholicvote.org/pro-life-pregnancy-center-attacked-ritualistic-vandalism/

The weekend of Saturday, May 13, marked one decade since abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted of murdering three infants who were born alive. On the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima in 2013, Gosnell was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder out of the seven with which he was charged. Here is why we should remember, and remind others, of the significance of Gosnell’s guilty verdict. https://catholicvote.org/marking-ten-years-since-abortionist-kermit-gosnell-was-convicted-of-murder/

LeRoy “Lee” Carhart, notorious late-term and partial-birth abortionist, died on Friday, April 28, in Bellevue, Nebraska of liver cancer. He was 81. Carhart was medical director for the Clinics for Abortion and Reproductive Excellence (CARE) in Nebraska and Maryland. After Nebraska in 2010 outlawed abortion beyond 20 weeks of gestation, Carhart began splitting his time between clinics in the two states. Staff will continue to operate both clinics.

The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty has filed a federal lawsuit against Westchester County, NY, after the county barred a pro-life sidewalk counselor from peacefully engaging with women considering abortion. According to the case, Debra Vitagliano, an occupational therapist and devout Catholic, was prevented from sidewalk counseling by a county-enforced 100-foot “buffer zone” around abortion clinics. https://catholicvote.org/lawsuit-filed-against-new-york-county-barring-pro-life-sidewalk-counselor/

Bella Health & Wellness is suing to block enforcement of a Colorado law targeting pro-life caregivers, and state officials are offering an unusual defense: they don’t actually intend to enforce the law against Bella, at least for now. “But they don’t actually defend it," said attorney Mark Rienzi, "because the truth is there’s no very good defense for what Colorado did here.” https://catholicvote.org/pro-life-clinic-fights-outrageous-new-colorado-law/

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a “notice of proposed rulemaking” that seeks to redefine the terms “person,” “natural person,” and “individual” to exclude the unborn. The rule change proposal couches the move in language found in the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002, a pro-life federal law meant to protect babies who survive botched abortions. https://catholicvote.org/redefining-the-unborn-non-persons/

Department of Justice officials appeared to minimize the threat of leftist violence as they prepared for the “Night of Rage” the night that Roe v. Wade was overturned, according to an email obtained by The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project. The email did not mention the pro-abortion terrorist group Jane’s Revenge by name. Nor did it mention that the groups perpetrating “arson and vandalism” were leftist, pro-abortion groups. https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/04/24/doj-minimize-leftist-violence-pro-abortion-attacks-supreme-court-roe-v-wade-kavanaugh/
