I just returned from a visit here two weeks ago . A magnificent resort with high tea in the late afternoon featuring Ann excellent viola player ! I would truly encourage a visit here if at all possible .
I did not but had already decided to return soon . I live about and hour and ten minutes away . I did enjoy the springs . It was a remarkable trip !!
You ( and wife of course) are always welcome to come stay , enabling you to readily visit . I have six premium AirBnB s in the countryside here in the Shenandoah/ Blue Ridge mountains. You would be my complimentary guests!
Awesome! Thanks for the explicit detail about a part of our American history also. While living back east, did not do too much traveling into West Virginia. Too bad.
It is beautiful. The eastern half of the U.S. is so lush and green. Where we are now we ONLY get 13" of moisture PER YEAR! Yet somehow, there is still some green. And of course the millions of acres of pine forests.

West Virgina jokes we hear are a cruel thing. It is a beautiful state and I know wonderful people who live there.
