I love this! So many of these stories don’t get shared like they should. Thanks for sharing your fathers!

We have had family in Service since WW 2, my Bio Dad was the last of the Horse Calvary, and I never learned much more. Dad fought under MacArthur, in 5 major battles, the last was Corregidor, where he a Sgt and a PFC hoisted the Flag on a Telegraphpole, just to give to the General. Official Flag raising service was 2 weeks later. There are pics on Corregidor.org, Hub's eldest brother was a plank owner of the replacement USS LEXINGTON WW 2, his middle brother Don was a Korean War Vet, and hub was Blue Water Navy in Vietnam, brought the AMB out on the USS MIDWAY, Operation Frequent Wind. On to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Uncle Hugh is a 32-year USAF Vet, he's 98's now. This newer generation, ARMY, and Border Patrol. More in between I never met. Merril's Mauraders had one BIL in. Cousins in Nam. Have a great Veteran's Day.
