Take a trip in time. From the brave worldview of 13 Colonies to the putrid postmodern narrative, behold a psychological evolution.
The Primer Beginning
The average person knows extraordinarily little about the classic Christian-based educational books once standard throughout the Nation. That is testimony to the modern detestable education system, sweeping selective historical facts under the rug. Specifically, how many people today have ever heard about the New England Primer?
The New England Primer (pronounced prim’er, short “i”) was first printed around 1690 by a Boston printer. It remained in use until 1900 as an educational textbook. Teachers and students used it in both private and public schools in New England, then throughout the Nation. The primary goal of the Primer was to help children develop their reading skills. Printed in a palm-sized book with 80 pages, the Primer employed rhymes to teach the alphabet and vocabulary. It also includes practice readings and short poems to instruct the children. While one-room schools did not have “grade” levels, teachers used the Primer to teach children first entering school. Biblical and Christian references are throughout the book.
Even for a properly well-educated reader of today, Primer study requires concentration and thought. Today’s typical high school student would have difficulty understanding the Primer. Despite the historical facts that demonstrate the everyday use of the Primer, any effort to reintroduce this book would be considered “unconstitutional.” Regardless, the founding documents enshrine Our Endowed Rights.
The Primer used principles from Comenius’s Orbis Pictus and the “Protestant Tutor.” Orbis Pictus (The World in Pictures or The World Illustrated) is a 1658 book written by Johann Amos Comenius (Jan Amos Komensky). Comenius is the father of modern education and was the first to use pictures in his textbooks. He was born in 1592 in Nivnice, Moravia (now a part of the Czech Republic). As a bishop of Moravian Brethren Church, in 1628 (during the Thirty Years’ War, 1618-1648), he was forced to flee the Bohemian Kingdom.
Using the Primer, youth worked their way through the alphabet from Adam to Zaccheus under the following precepts:
Serious interpretation of life
A touch of human interest through vivid illustrations and descriptions
A cornerstone of education as a spelling book, reader, and historical reference
Texts about religion, morals, values, and principles
The first editions focused on the Puritan worldview of the time, emphasizing sin, death, and salvation. Later versions reflected the Great Awakening with a focus on God’s love.
The Godless Transition
Today, educational material such as the Primer “violates the Constitution.” When did the big “change” occur? Pick one or all:
In 1959 when 13-year-old Bill Murray stood up in class and announced that he would not recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer. At that time, in almost every school in the country, such behavior would have been subject to discipline. Bill Murray’s mother was atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hair.
June 17, 1963, the day the Supreme Court decided O’Hair’s lawsuit, Murray v. Curlett? That was the day the justices declared public school daily prayer “unconstitutional.”
In 2002, when atheist Michael Newdow did not want his daughter exposed to the horrors of the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals declared that the 1954 law, which inserted these two words into the Pledge, was also “unconstitutional.”
The year 2003, when Judge Roy Moore, a devout Christian, faced eviction from office for daring to place the Ten Commandments in the courthouse. Alabama citizens elected him to Chief Justice by an overwhelming majority to add insult to injury. His sin was against the god of humanism. He displayed a granite sculpture containing the Ten Commandments in the court building. This sculpture also includes other significant writings about the basis of our law system. The violent crime rate per 100,000 has increased from 2,180 in 1963 to 4,124 incidents in 2000. By 2019, it dropped to 2,489.1 Note the benchmark year, 1963. That was the turning point with eliminating the principal brakes on society; God, our Nation has been on a course of self-destruction. The FBI’s Uniform Crime Report for 2020 was published on September 27, 2020, showing homicides increased nearly 30 percent from 2019.2
The Mutation
Along with self-destruction comes the removal of rights. The Government takes away our rights to associate as desired and freely speak (with civility). Yet, the leviathan gives something back to keep the masses happy, sexual license (“Bread and Circus").
Imagine how the postmodern secular humanists would react to any notion of bringing back the New England Primer. Right off the bat, we would hear the Pavlovian knee-jerk reaction. The terrible “Religious Right” tries to push their religious beliefs in public schools. We can’t have that. A documented case was when a schoolteacher took a Bible from a student, declared it “garbage,” and then threw it into a trashcan. Thnk about what that same teacher would do to a copy of the Primer. Of course, the Koran gets kid-glove treatment. So much for freedom of speech and tolerance.
The postmodern secular humanist movement fuels the current course. That is the self-destruction we face today. Writing such as this essay will face tagging as “hate speech.” Meanwhile, the system defends disgusting pornography and violent entertainment. The collectivists create an environment of hate. They despise anything to do with orthodox Christianity. But of course, Secularized Christianity (an oxy-moron) is “acceptable.” After all, our collectivist friends say, Jesus was a Socialist. Slouching Toward Woke-Tron
Our Nation, like all others, had and has its blemishes. However, the change in people’s character from the earliest Primer days to today’s Wilfully Ordering the Killing of Entrepreneurship (WOKE) is an incomprehensible reality. The bleeding started in 1913 with direct taxation of wages (16th Amendment), direct election of senators (17th Amendment), and the Federal Reserve Ac.

In March 2022, U.S. government debt surpassed $30 trillion. It took 200 years to accumulate the first $1 trillion in debt. But Washington racked up another $1 trillion in just two months. Deficit spending is parabolic and destroys your savings with each passing day. Yet, according to President Biden, when the government prints or borrows trillions of dollars, the value of the dollar doesn’t decline.
Rest assured, the Wicked Woke of the West will invoke the Caustic Cancel Culture Pogrom upon reading this essay. It may be true that the average humanist believes that they are promoting the good of society. Celebration of drag queen shows and modern family values as “normal” over traditional families (abolish parenthood in the name of equity)
Celebration of progressive civil disobedience (burning, looting, and mayhem) touted as mostly peaceful protests over traditional redress of concerns (only right-wingers are touted as terrorists)
Central control of education through the flow of federal money to local school systems over local funding of education departments, thus trashing parental rights
Choice of abortion over the humanity of the unborn
Collectivism under the banner of the “common good” over local autonomy
Collectivist hive activity over individual rights
Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) over a self-determined drive to work toward a goal
Freedom of collectivist speech over true equality of discourse
Freedom is a white racist construct over Life, Liberty, and Property
Giant Government Gravy Train over fiscal responsibility
Global citizenry over the love of country (smear patriots as xenophobic or “nationalist”)
Government subsidies to media over independent reporting
Government TV commercials as informed consent for experimental injections over detailed safety data sheets
Illegal immigrant special consideration over the citizens4
Mass injection of the entire popular (illegal immigrants exempt) with hyper-expensive and experimental mRNA therapies over safe true vaccines and inexpensive therapeutic medicines
Leftist indoctrination in schools and academia over classical liberal education
Medical tyranny over patient and doctor relationship coupled with consult and choice
Misinformation and disinformation campaign (Pravada) over an adult conversation of facts and analysis
Nasty Nanny State Nanny Care over work, self-determination, and property ownership
Progressive ideology is “normal” over a true diversity of opinion (others with anti-progressive thoughts are an enemy of the state)
Public-Private-Partnership under the precepts of Environmental, Social, and Governance (Woke business model) over private small businesses
Pornography as sex education over traditional values and parental consent (smear complainers as white supremacists)
Rights of southern border invaders over the safety of the citizenry
School board rights to dictate class content over parental consent and choice
State “security” over the right to self-defense
Transgender “rights” of pre-teens and teens to mutilate their bodies over the concerns of parents5
Unfettered ballot access, mail-in ballots, and harvesting over voter ID (traditional voting touted as racist)
Unlimited government fiat money for progressive projects over a balanced budget of money with intrinsic value
White people and math are racist constructs over Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream”
Universal Basic Income over work (who will build homes?)
Woke over facts
Worshiping the state over traditional religion

The above WOKE list is just a sampling and no worries about the carbon footprint of war. The armed forces are going green. Not to be outdone, #ClimateChange is a gender issue!

Such surgeries can involve taking carcinogenic drugs, as well as amputating or mutilating parts of the body in order to appear like the opposite sex.

When schools now say that X percent of students read at a 6th grade level, that is probably a 2nd grade level from 100 years ago.
