The Outcast (Starfleet Repost and Update)
Buckle up for a time warp “affirmation” trip from the science fiction of yesteryear to the nightmare reality of today.
The whole show [Star Trek] was an attempt to say that humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day it begins not just to tolerate, but to take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms. We tried to say that the worst possible thing that can happen to all of us is for the future to somehow press us into a common mold, where we begin to act and talk and look and think alike. If we cannot learn to actively enjoy those small differences between our own kind here on this planet, then we do not deserve to go out into space and meet the diversity that is almost certainly out there.
Gene Roddenberry (1921 – 1991)
This Frederick R. Smith Speaks installment is an important update and repost of an April 11, 2022, essay.
Foreword
This essay addresses a topic raging in the blogosphere and mainstream media. That is the copious debate about gender confusion. There is plenty to read from many viewpoints. Still, I am compelled to provide my perspective through a Star Trek Next Generation episode. Buckle up for a time warp “affirmation” trip from yesteryear’s science fiction to today’s nightmare reality.
The Outcast, 1992
Star Trek The Next Generation (TNG) is the sequel to the original Star Trek. The first episode was on September 28, 1987, and ended on May 23, 1994 (seven seasons). TNG included 178 episodes, and The Outcast (March 16, 1992) is the 117th episode (the seventeenth installment of the fifth season). In The Outcast, Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) falls in love with a member of a society with no gender (androgynous).1 This humanoid-like society, called J’naii (pronounced yea-nea), relegates heterosexuality to mental illness status.
The J’naii contacted the Starship Enterprise to help find their missing shuttle crew. Riker volunteers to pilot an Enterprise shuttle to retrieve the J’naii crew. A J’naii named Soren (Melinda Culea) insists on accompanying Riker as a co-pilot. Before the mission, Riker and Soren eat at the Enterprise Lounge and become friends.
Riker and Soren begin their search for the missing J’naii in “null space.” During this mission, Soren inquires about the details of human sexuality. Riker explains human reproduction, and Soren describes the process of the J’naii. Soren describes it as “less risky,” while Riker says such an arrangement seems “less enjoyable.” Soren recounts the J’naii history of evolving from the male/female biological reality. Science takes care of conception and gestation. Sound familiar?
Because of damage to the shuttle’s engine, Soren sustained an injury. The duo retreats to the Enterprise. Once in the sick bay, Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) asks Soren several questions. The doctor asks about female gender classification. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Worf (Michael Dorn) disdains the genderless J’naii.
Upon recovery, Soren rejoins Riker to troubleshoot the shuttle. Soren confesses an attraction to Riker and female “tendencies.” Soren explains that the J’naii view male or female gender expression as abnormal. Heterosexual sexual liaisons are a sexual perversion. According to their doctrine, the J’naii evolved beyond gender, thus making male/female sexuality a vestigial remnant. Those who view themselves as possessing a standard gender face ridicule. They are outcasts and forced to undergo “psychotectic therapy.” This type of conversion therapy remediates “gender-specificity.” That allows for acceptance back into J’naii society.
Soren reveals to have engaged in intimate relations with J’naii citizens having male preferences. With a female fancy since birth, Soren finds Riker alluring. The relationship between Riker and Soren grows and is now open in the Starship Enterprise.
With the duo onboard the relaunched shuttle, they find the J’naii vessel. The two J’naii crew members, unconscious, find safe passage to the Enterprise shuttle, then to the starship sickbay. The duo return to the Enterprise. With the J’naii recovered, Riker beams with them to the planet to celebrate the rescue.
On the J’naii planet, the authorities learn of the “illicit” relationship. Soren faces trial, and before “she” answers the charges, Riker charges into the courtroom. He attempts to fall on his sword, but Soren foils his attempt. She defends herself and expresses outrage at what society does to the “Outcasts.”
I am female. I was born that way. I have had those feelings, those longings, all of my life. It is not unnatural. I am not sick because I feel this way. I do not need to be helped. I do not need to be cured. What I need, and what all of those who are like me need, is your understanding. And your compassion. We have not injured you in any way. And yet we are scorned and attacked. And all because we are different. What we do is no different from what you do. We talk and laugh. We complain about work. And we wonder about growing old. We talk about our families and we worry about the future. And we cry with each other when things seem hopeless. All of the loving things that you do with each other – that is what we do. And for that we are called misfits, and deviants and criminals. What right do you have to punish us? What right do you have to change us? What makes you think you can dictate how people love each other?
J’naii authorities mandate Soren to undergo “psychotectic” therapy. They cite reformed citizens’ newfound happiness and desire to be “normal.” Just like the new normal of today.
Riker returns to the Enterprise. His passion for Soren grows, and decides that he cannot leave her. He tries to explain the situation to Captain Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) and is sympathetic to the cause. But, the Prime Directive prohibits a rescue mission. Picard reminds Riker not to throw away his Starfleet career.
Worf visits Riker, and in solidarity, he offers to go along for a clandestine trip to rescue Soren. Once beamed to the planet, they realized Soren had faced normalization therapy. Soren refuses to go with Riker, claiming that she-he is now “happy.” Soren says she-he had a “sickness” during her affair. Soren apologizes to Riker. The heartbroken Riker returns to the Enterprise with Worf.
Back to the Future
For a television show 30 years old, The Outcast is a science fiction story that has transitioned into a frightening reality. It projects from the ever-changing and expanding LBGTQ alphabet community’s worldview mindset. It is everywhere. Check it all out in the video Accidental Transgender Episode.
Today, Worf would face tagging as a misogynist for his “stereotypical” view of men and women. Today we get blasted with topics such as “pronouns,” conversion therapy, and androgynous (non-binary). The blast “reminds” heterosexuals of their binary gender fragility. The programming has encircled the earth in progressive mass hysteria. To make any statement about the reality of natural human sexuality ignites the heterophobic marching band.
The machine, akin to the Star Trek Borg, program the masses to believe in the dogma of the new civil religion that biological gender reality is now fiction. The Borg launched a cadre of intellectual giants with pea brains to cancel the concept of boys and girls at Disney World. The Federal Government (Borg’s central brain) launched its progressive machine. It has a program to intimidate and threaten states that want to shield pre-teens from this madness. Meanwhile, the mad media celebrates men participating in women’s sports.
In the fall of 2022, The New Jersey Education curriculum mandates 1st and 2nd-grade students learn about gender identity. As a reminder, these are six and seven-year-old children. Feast your eyes: the lesson plan says, “You might feel like you’re a boy even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are girl parts.” The lesson plans include graphic use of language (describing) body parts. No surprise here. This same crummy Nude Jersey state miseducation-misdirection system already includes the requirement of anal intercourse (sodomy) instruction during biology (porn) classes.
We face an imminent collapse of society due to the creation of trillions of dollars at a whim. Nevertheless, the primary directive is the activation of the Caustic Cancel Culture Pogrom to thwart biological sex, just like the J’naii. But wait, there is more from Jessie Gender: Hasn’t Star Trek Always Had Transgender Characters?
Starfleet Update
“Scientists” have surpassed the limitations of in vitro fertilization. The ultimate goal: work to create a new individual from skin or blood cells without sexual reproduction. Named in vitro gametogenesis (IVG), this method extends beyond in vitro fertilization, which blends egg and sperm in a laboratory dish, as it doesn't necessitate using natural gametes. IVG holds the potential to eventually offer a remedy for various forms of infertility, to delay or even halt biological aging, and to facilitate the embryo selection process, which may cause unease for some. Researchers shared their findings enthusiastically during a gathering at the National Academies of Sciences, proponents presented their plans for making IVG practical, and ethicists felt uneasy in their chairs.
Analysis
The question of gender has never been more pressing or misunderstood. To inquire who we are, men or women engenders a 1984-like projection for the need to press hate speech charges. It is a gender paradigm related to reality and identity via radical feminism and postmodern thoughts. Gender has overtaken sex. That transformation shapes laws, language, sexuality, medicines, and self-identity under “social justice” shilling for transgenderism. It lurks in the underbelly of many “churches.”
The recently minted Borg Supreme Court member Ketanji Brown Jackson faced “unfair questioning” during the Senate confirmation hearing. The “nasty inquires” included asking “that person” to state the definition of a woman and when life begins.
Today, we live in a society that pokes its finger into the eye of God. This anti-life philosophy is a delight for the Malthusians’ palate of population reduction. Transgenderism is mass hysteria; it is junk science.
Besides gender hysteria, the assault includes the hatred of the traditional family unit. The glory of a man and woman united in matrimony to build a large family gets society’s scorn. The people who tout the diversity, inclusion, and equity (DIE) mantra will sneer at families in the grocery store. The bold demonic desire of humans to believe they have become their very own god is a frightening reality. The new gods that attempt to alter creation have overtaken the wonder of the interconnections of life linked to Divine creation.
Afterword
The DIE crowd has its very own conversation-mind programming. For example, the choice cult mob forbids the offing of therapy to enable a person to return to their birthright. Some choice. In warp eight, they infuse trans idolatry down to the preschool level. Such behavior would be subject to child abuse charges in more sane times. This poltergeist octopus inculcating trans as “normal” epitomizes dystopia. They have the entire mainstream machine and government fighting their cause! It is a proxy war against the natural family unit. Those questioning the nasty narratives face all types of “phobia” threats. Parents who ask about school curriculum face branding as phobic or tagging as domestic terrorists at worst.
There is nothing new under the sun. The same cadre of manipulators conspired at the beginning of society. They thwart God’s plan of order and peace. We will continue down the slippery slope to oblivion until we understand how this enemy works and prowls about. We, the “cis-binaries,” are the new Outcasts. Welcome to the Dizzy Disney post-fantasy world. Because it’s all fake reality, there is no entry fee for that new section of the park—like Socialism, it’s free, it’s free (wink, wink).
Time to change hate crime laws to include heterophobia. Better yet, decide to affirm your heterosexual fragility and join the crowd. Not happy what that particular selection? More choices await your pick: 68 Terms Describe Gender Identity and Expression. In line with that super-woke narrative, the United States issued its 1st passport with ‘X’ gender marker.
Straight from heathline.com:
Gender is an identity — your personal sense of who you are. The term can also refer to socially constructed categories that relate to being a man or a woman.
Sex refers to biological and physiological characteristics. Your genitals, hormones, and chromosomes all relate to your sex.
