A Colorado charter school kicked a seventh-grader out of class because he had a patch of the Gadsden flag on his backpack. A teacher claimed the popular symbol has “origins with slavery and slave trade.” Amid widespread bipartisan shows of support for the boy, Colorado Democratic Gov. Jared Polis defended the Gadsden flag as a symbol warning governments “not to violate the liberties of Americans… It’s a great teaching moment for a history lesson!” https://catholicvote.org/school-punishes-12-year-old-colorado-boy-for-dont-tread-on-me-patch/

Love the history lesson. I am terrified we will lose our Republic to the Evil in and out of the WH, Congress, to the Great Rest. More and more it looks like the first Great Depression. This jobs report was a farce. the next one will be worse. The Spending bill worse. People have closed blind eyes, as government takes over more of their lives. As Franklin said " Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither. " " He who sacrifices freedom for security/safety deserves neither. "

Looking forward to your History of the Ladies of the RW. They were dismissed as ornaments or Breeders to stupid to understand.

Well said Gail. Too few can even grasp what you said in the short paragraph.

I've been a reader of broad subjects since I was of age to understand beyond the rote stuff that used to teach us to read. By HS I was reading college level, using a dictionary to look up unfamiliar words. That in itself was enlightening. Math was never a strong suit, yet my double math major husband said I was doing advanced math when I shopped. Never looked at it that way before. A products cost/quantity, expiration date/final receipt vs the last similar one, is more than the simple clastic math I took. But I do it every week. And everything has less in it now. Reminds me of the Carter days. Except he did leave food for the table unlike the current idiot. Which leaves those of use with Gastro issues finding less to choose from.

I've said it before Robert's Butchered told my story.
