Neglect of right-brain development has contributed to the decline of creativity and innovation in American schools.

Ideally, what should be said to every child, repeatedly, throughout his or her school life is something like this: ‘You are in the process of being indoctrinated. We have not yet evolved a system of education that is not a system of indoctrination. We are sorry, but it is the best we can do. What you are being taught here is an amalgam of current prejudice and the choices of this particular culture. The slightest look at history will show how impermanent these must be. You are being taught by people who have been able to accommodate themselves to a regime of thought laid down by their predecessors. It is a self-perpetuating system. Those of you who are more robust and individual than others will be encouraged to leave and find ways of educating yourself — educating your own judgements. Those that stay must remember, always, and all the time, that they are being moulded and patterned to fit into the narrow and particular needs of this particular society.

Introduction

Public schools have become a breeding ground for radical leftist ideologies. It aims to subvert traditional American values and promote a uber-socialist agenda. Two critical factors drive this trend. They are the deliberate dumbing down of the education system and the progressive agenda of dystopian educrats. It is too late to save most people from the grips of this horror. But, we must expose the attempts of “educators” to manipulate and brainwash students.

Today, it is all hidden in plain sight with the overarching effort to sexualize children. Students see sanctioned books depicting disgusting pornography under the guise of “inclusive” education. With an increasing volume, teachers are no longer purveyors of intelligence. Teachers are forced or willing to participate in a program to dumb down the children. Increasingly, the educrats work to influence children to transition by fiat into something not of nature’s reality and beauty.

Declining standards, politicized curricula, and rampant grade inflation are commonplace. This trend goes back to the 1960s when a new generation of progressive educators emerged. John Dewey and other leftist influencers got their hook. They believed schools should act as instruments of social change. The old communist-leaning “social justice” campaign got enrobed in new and shiny wrapping. It looks good but smells like a massive mound of manure. However, like George Costanza’s ma-nure, it can smell good in the pickled brain of the masses.

The above caustic “ma-nure philosophy” has led to a curriculum prioritizing indoctrination over education. It is easy to find examples of textbooks that distort history and science to fit a particular political narrative. “Teaching” unions focus on their members’ interests over those of students.

This essay is a passionate call to action for parents, educators, and policymakers. Parents must be more active in their children’s education and demand school accountability. We must advocate for school choice, allowing parents to select schools that align with their values.

The corporatocracy narrative counters the facts in this essay.¹ It spews forth charges of conspiracy theory, exaggeration, and harboring domestic terrorism. Yet, a wealth of evidence prevails. It includes declining standards of American schools and the influence of teachers’ unions.

Politicians or interest groups with money work to influence school policies. That lobbying is for their own financial, political or ideological gain rather than focusing on the needs of students. Of course, leftist ideology has the hammer. The entire education machine bloviates progressive puss. That is a “good” ecosystem in the pickled brains of our “leaders.” Meanwhile, mentioning things like Adam and Eve rather than Adam and Steve triggers the Plaovian bark of the alt-left. After that, it’s an FBI raid in your kitchen.

To make matters worse, we now suffer under the Covid new-normal regime. There, the education machine embraces Critical Race (conspiracy) Theory. It is a framework that examines how race intersects with social, economic, and political power structures. It strives to create “systemic racism and inequality” under every bed. It originated in the legal field, with education now on board this mind-numbing gambit on steroids. Please read on to see why most members of society no longer think for themselves.

Right Brain Versus Left Brain

The left brain provides logical, analytical thinking, complimenting the right brain’s creativity and intuition. Traditional or classical education focuses on reading, writing, and mathematics. It balances left-brain and right-brain functions. Modern education tends to favor left-brain thinking while neglecting right-brain development.

This neglect of right-brain development contributed to declining creativity. This innovation in American schools goes to the dustbin of history. The emphasis on left-brain thinking has resulted in a narrow and standardized curriculum. With suppressed natural creativity, we no longer see engaged students.

A more balanced approach to education incorporates right-brain development. That would be more effective in engaging students and promoting creativity. That could involve incorporating more arts and music into the curriculum. We need to encourage more open-ended and creative problem-solving.

Progressive educators (brainwashers) dominate American schools and have ignored the importance of right-brain development. They suggest that this is due to a focus on standardization and the belief that all children should learn the same things in the same way. That explains how the post-modern world produces robot-like entities.

Whole Language Method

Whole language is a method of teaching reading and writing that emphasizes meaning over language mechanics. It focuses on using context and “sight words” to help children read rather than teaching them Phonics or how to sound out words. This approach, launched in the 1980s and 1990s, landed in many schools and school districts across the United States.

The whole language approach has contributed to the country’s literacy rate decline. That method results in students guessing at words. They memorize “sight words” and struggle with reading comprehension.

In contrast, Phonics is a method of teaching reading and writing that emphasizes the sounds of letters and how they combine to form words. Phonics instruction teaches students the relationship between sounds and letters. That gives students the ability to decode unfamiliar words. Thus, Phonics is a much more effective approach to teaching reading. History teaches us that it improves literacy rates and reading comprehension.

Overwhelming facts and historical evidence prove phonics works. Still, most schools and districts continue whole-language instruction. That is due to the influence of progressive educators. They focus on ideology over evidence-based instruction. Adopting whole language instruction has had disastrous consequences for American children. Phonics is a much more effective approach to teaching reading.

The left brain handles language processing, including reading, writing, and speaking. Phonics instruction involves breaking down words into their component sounds. It teaches students to connect those sounds to letters and letter combinations. This process requires analytical thinking and relies on the left brain. There, it processes language and decodes written words.

Reading through Phonics involves the left brain and right brain working together. The right brain plays a critical role in processing visual information. It recognizes letters and words and understands what is being read. Effective reading instruction (Phonics) engages the left and right brain.

This ineffective whole-language method of left-brain-focused processing causes dyslexia. It confuses students and leads to a lack of phonemic awareness. The corporatocracy will only admit that “some research has suggested that explicit phonics instruction may be helpful for some children with dyslexia.”

Cursive Writing

Cursive writing involves the use of the right brain. The right brain handles spatial awareness, visual perception, and motor coordination. These are essential cursive writing skills. Cursive writing does involve some left-brain processing, such as letter recognition and sequencing. The process is more dependent on the right brain.

The writer must use fluid, connected movements to create each letter when writing in cursive. It requires fine motor skills and coordination. Additionally, cursive writing involves visual-spatial processing. The writer must create a consistent flow of letters connected in a specific way.

Many people cannot write and read cursive thanks to the crummy education system. The decline of cursive writing hurts education in several ways:

1. Cultural loss. The decline of cursive writing could also mean the loss of a cultural tradition and a connection to our past. Reading and interpreting historical documents, manuscripts, and other artifacts written in cursive may become challenging, leading to a loss of cultural and historical understanding.

2. Impaired learning. Absent the ability to read and write cursive, students will struggle to read historical documents, primary sources, and other materials, limiting their knowledge and research.

3. Limited communication. Cursive writing has historically been a form of communication that conveys personality and individuality. Without exposure to cursive, students may lack a valuable tool for expressing themselves uniquely and personally.

4. Reduced motor skills. Learning cursive requires fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. Losing the opportunity to develop these skills through cursive writing could negatively impact students’ overall motor development.

Motor skills like cursive writing develop as the brain and body learn to coordinate and control movements. They are essential for everyday tasks, from getting dressed and tying shoes to playing sports, writing, and using tools. Motor skills are also crucial for cognitive development. They link to brain areas responsible for attention, problem-solving, and other cognitive processes.

Sentence Diagramming

Sentence diagramming is a language-based activity that involves left-brain processing. Diagramming breaks down sentences into their parts and analyzes the relationships. That requires analytical thinking and a firm grasp of grammar rules and syntax.

The left brain handles language processing. That includes grammar, syntax, and word meaning. The left brain also plays a role in logical thinking and problem-solving. Like all language-based activities, the right brain assists with sentence diagramming. The right brain plays a role in understanding the meaning of language. It processes the visual aspects of written language, such as the placement and layout of words on a page.

The lack of sentence diagramming diminished effective writing in several ways. Here are the benefits of diagramming:

1. Allows writers to see how words and phrases fit together within a sentence, which can help them to identify and correct problems with clarity, ambiguity, and other issues that may interfere with effective communication.

2. Requires students to think analytically and critically about language and syntax, helping to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Absent this training, students miss opportunities to build essential cognitive skills.

3. Students can identify and correct problems with sentence structure and syntax problems, which can help them revise their work and improve their writing. Without this tool, students may miss opportunities to refine their writing and develop their skills as writers.

4. Supports understanding sentence structure and the relationship between words in a sentence. Absent this understanding, students struggle to construct clear and well-structured sentences.

Rote Learning

Rote learning is the process of memorizing information through repetition and practice. This type of learning focuses on details and the ability to recall specific information. That is a function of the left brain.

The left brain processes logical thinking, verbal processing, and analytic reasoning. These skills are essential in rote learning. The left brain also stores and retrieves facts, which is critical for effective rote learning.

While rote learning occurs mainly in the left brain, the right brain plays a role in the visual aspects of education, such as recalling images or spatial arrangements. The left brain processes language-based information.

Rote learning involves memorization through repetition and has several advantages, particularly in specific areas such as learning multiplication tables:

1. Building a foundation provides a strong foundation for more complex learning. For example, memorizing basic math facts such as times tables can make it easier for students to understand more complex mathematical concepts that build on those fundamentals.

2. Improved retention allows students to memorize and recall important information quickly and accurately. For example, learning times tables through rote memorization can help students perform multiplication problems more quickly and accurately.

3. Increased speed helps students perform tasks more quickly by automating specific processes. For example, memorizing times tables can help students complete multiplication problems more quickly, especially in timed math tests or other situations where speed is essential.

4. Reduced cognitive load reduces cognitive load by making specific tasks automatic and freeing up cognitive resources for other tasks. Moreover, educrats fill the void in the left brain caused by canceling balanced rote learning with progressive ma-nure. No mistake about it; left-brain-focused processing constitutes a progressive worldview. Balanced hemisphere processing (cogent thinking) faces the Caustic Cancel Culture Progrom.

Modern Math

There are several criticisms and concerns about modern math education, including:

1. Failure to connect math to real-world problems makes it difficult for students to see the practical applications of math.

2. Ineffective “teaching methods, such as “discovery learning” and “constructivism,” can be destructive for many students, particularly those struggling with math.

3. Lack of emphasis on basic skills places too little emphasis on arithmetic and memorizing basic math facts, leading to students who struggle with basic math skills.

4. Limited diversity of perspectives is a finite set of views, particularly cultural and historical perspectives. That can result in a lack of understanding and appreciation for different mathematical traditions and ways of thinking.

While modern or crummy “Common Core” or modern math may use both hemispheres, it cancels cogent thinking replacing it with pickled brains.

Meanwhile, a growing woke movement bloviates how math education and math-related practices contribute to “systemic racism and inequality.” That is another massive mound of ma-nure.

The above Frankenstein-like treatment traumatizes the psyche. The outcome includes Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and drugs to fix the problem.

Attention Deficit Disorder

Modern “education” causes ADD because the educational system focuses on creating a utopian society. Instead, it should give students a solid foundation in basic academic skills. That has led to the implementation of ineffective teaching methods. The leftist capstone is the crummy “whole language” approach to reading instruction. That method fails to teach students Phonics and other fundamental skills.

This mind meld has contributed to a rise in ADD diagnoses. Students with poor reading skills struggle to pay attention and engage with academic material. They suffer from overreliance on technology and a decreased emphasis on physical activity. Modern classrooms fuel the rise of ADD and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Drugging the Children

With modern schooling, we see an astronomical increase in the use of Ritalin. That is because the educational system has created a robot-like environment. Children must conform to a standardized set of behaviors and attitudes. That has led to medicalizing normal childhood behaviors, such as inattention and restlessness. The educational system’s conformity focus lends to a lack of tolerance for non-standard behaviors. That drives medicalization. The machine prescribes Ritalin and other drugs used to treat ADHD. It is a vicious cycle without considering the potential long-term effects. This over-reliance on medication results from the progressive educational system.

The Antidote

Classical education is the antidote to the mind-numbing indoctrination of the post-modern “education” machine. Classical education is a schooling philosophy emphasizing studying the liberal arts and humanities. It covers classical languages and literature, such as Greek and Latin. Some of the advantages of classical education include the following:

1. College preparation and beyond give students a foundation to prepare them for college and success in their careers and personal lives.

2. Development of language skills places a strong emphasis on studying classical languages, which can help develop students’ vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills.

3. Emphasis on cogent-critical thinking emphasizes developing practical skills essential for academic success and lifelong learning.

4. Exposure to the great works of literature introduces students to some of the greatest works of literature and art from throughout history, which can broaden their cultural horizons and develop their understanding of the world.

Classical education emphasizes moral education, including the study of ethics and virtues. It balances right brain and left brain processing. That can help students develop a strong sense of character and values. That is the Achilles heel of classical education. The progressive mind-meld machine recoils at any mention of a man-and-woman union as a natural and healthy reality. To consider heterosexuality in that context launches the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) wrath. That lap dog of the corporatocracy will “sandwich smear” those who favor the wholesome reality of Adam and Eve. The SPLC will relegate such individuals as potential “right-wing domestic terrorists.”

Conclusion

The modern education system fails to meet the needs of students. It is just another brick in the wall. Several key issues have contributed to this failure. That includes overemphasizing standardized testing and a need for more focus on practical skills. The emphasis on “modern” education and academic achievement is part of a larger strategy to control and shape society. By controlling primary education, the corporatocracy gets the hammer. It shapes the ideas and beliefs of the next generation of leaders and influencers.

The “Whole Language” method is an imbalance of the right and left brain functions. It cancels cogent thinking. Contributing elements include modern math, attention deficit disorder, and psychotropic drugging of children. Canceled cursive writing, sentence diagramming, and rote learning incapacitated the population.

Teachers’ unions, libraries, and education departments are tenacles of an overarching octopus. It controls the collective mind of the population. The modern education system must undergo a fundamental transformation to address these issues. Instead of emphasizing standardized testing, educrats should focus on practical teaching skills. That includes critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Defund the schools!

Classical education is a balanced right and left-brain learning system that works. It is the antidote to the mind-numbing progressive indoctrination couched as education. Progressive education is a left-brain-focused system that cancels right-brain processing. It is time to cancel the crummy indoctrination system known as the post-modern “education” machine. It is a brilliant but malevolent plot to divide and conquer with vomit-inducing secular sacraments like blurring the differences between only two genders and erasing national boundaries.

There, I said it, only two genders. It is a shame that snowflakes feelings are hurt, and they feel threatened. But they have the hammer (FBI, hate speech laws, Critical Race Theory, Diversity Inclusion Equity, Environment Social Governance, etc.).
